I went to Barnes & Noble over the weekend to check out the new books and see if there was anything I could borrow from the library. I hung out in the Romance Section and spotted a book I recently finished (This Spells Love by Kate Robb). It’s always cool to see a book you enjoyed out in the wild! I really loved that book. I wanted to gush about it to the other folks in the romance section, but then I thought it might be creepy, so I let it go. I even browsed the Horror section because I’m curious about diving into that genre. I think I’ll grab a few Stephen King books from the library soon. I was surprised to find a section for “Cozy Fantasy” books – didn’t even know that was a thing! Two books caught my eye – Legends & Lattes and BookShops & Bondust by Travis Baldree. The covers look like Shrek spin-offs! No idea what the books are about, but I love SHREK! Lol. (I hope “don’t judge a book by its cover” applies here.) Got high hopes! Don’t let me down, Travis! Luckily, the library had both books, so I had to put them on hold and wait my turn!

My library also had both books by Laura Nowlin – “If Only I had Told Her” and “If He Had Been With Me.” Both books are making waves on Booktok and apparently leave readers in tears. I thought I’d give them a shot, but BookTok has let me down before, so my hopes aren’t high.

Anyway, I’m eagerly awaiting that email from the library, letting me know my books are ready to pick up.
