BLURB:
Anyone else ever thrown a drink at someone’s head, only to miss entirely and hit a stranger behind them? Then have that stranger fall madly in love with you because it turned out that drink you threw was a love potion? No, just me? Well damn.
Dealing with a pirate ship full of demons that just moved into town was hard enough. Now on top of it, I have to convince a werewolf that I’m not his fated mate, he’s just drugged. Easier said than done.
Though I have to say, having a gorgeous man show up and do all of your chores while telling you you’re beautiful isn’t the worst thing to happen to a girl.
MY THOUGHTS:
This Kindle Unlimited find really caught me off guard with its spicy content! I swear, I never seem to notice when I stumble upon a book that’s part of a series. It’s like I have a talent for diving into book two without even realizing it! I was all set for a cozy fantasy read, expecting it to be so cozy that I wouldn’t want to put it down. But surprise! I found myself totally sucked into the story, even though I may have done a bit of speedy reading through the more intense parts. Maybe if I’d read the first book, I wouldn’t have been so lost in the world-building, but hey, I still appreciated the cozy moments of coffee, gardening, and farming, mixed in with some seriously thrilling scenes. And can we talk about the title? It’s ridiculously long, but it’s also kind of playful, so I’ll give it that. Now, Felix wasn’t exactly book bae material for me, but I’ve got to hand it to the author for their unique take on werewolves. All in all, I’d give this book a solid three stars. If you’re on the hunt for a quirky romtansy read, then you might want to add this one to your list!
