Review of Behind the Scenes by Christina Jones

BLURB:

Perfect.
Privileged.
Strong.
Spoiled.
Uptight.
Useless.
If there’s any one thing Pierre and Logan have in common, it’s their ability to invite snap judgements based on shallow views of who they are.
Logan is the privileged only daughter of a respected family whose legacy runs long and deep.
Pierre is the moody, orphaned son of big screen royalty who couldn’t possibly live up to the prestige of his pedigree.
Or maybe not.
Perhaps they’re just two people trying to navigate the pressures of a world hellbent on telling them what they should be, and eschewing the limits of other people’s expectations.
Maybe what they need most is somebody who can see beyond the shallow first impressions – just one person they can allow to see behind the scenes of who they are.
Maybe they have more in common than it seems.

MY THOUGHTS:

This is another Kindle Unlimited Find! Kindle Unlimited has me in a chokehold these days. I gotta admit, I ended up skimming through some parts because it felt like the story was dragging a bit. And seriously, Pierre calling Logan “shorty” was kind of annoying because I didn’t really get that whole “tough guy” vibe from him. I couldn’t really connect with Pierre or Logan as much as I wanted, but even so, it was still entertaining. I love it when romance books throw in the pregnancy trope for a little extra pizzazz, and I really liked the way the book ended. Overall, I’d give it a hesitant three stars just because I couldn’t connect with the characters.

  1. Great review, thanks for sharing your thoughts. OMG, I so share your sentiments about Kindle Unlimited. As if I need to add more books to my TBR list, Kindle Unlimited is putting my list on steroids. LOL. Great to know I’m not the only one.
